Day 1 – Lima
Lima Arrival after 3pm
Welcome to Lima! Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in the beautiful area of Miraflores. If time permits, venture out and begin to explore Peru's amazing culture and cuisine.

Day 2 – Lima
Rise for breakfast and a morning guided tour of colonial and modern Lima. After lunch, explore the Inca culture at the Larco Museum followed by a visit to a Peruvian tavern for a glass of Pisco Sour and local petite bouchées.

Day 3 – Lima / Cusco
Lima to Cusco - Fly before 9am
Early flight to Cusco (11,152 ft). Welcome upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. During the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Cusco with its ancient cathedrals and amazingly crafted Inca walls. You will also visit the ruins at Kenko, Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, and Saqsaywaman.

DAY 4 – Cusco (Sacred Valley)
Today we will explore the Sacred Valley (9,350 ft) and experience the rich colors of its traditional towns and ruins. Our first stop after a scenic drive will be Pisac's colorful market a great opportunity to practice your bargaining skills! After lunch, we will tour the town of Ollantaytambo and visit the site of the beautiful rose-colored stone ruins where the Incas fought the Spaniards. The serenity and quaintness of the town will allow you to relax and transition into the Incas magical world.

Day 5 – Cusco / Machu Picchu
Cusco to Machu Picchu Train
Early morning transfer to board the train to Machu Picchu (7,875 ft.). This scenic trip offers great views of the mountains, river, and sometimes a glance of the awesome Condor. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will begin a guided tour of Machu Picchu. After the guided excursion you can continue to explore Machu Picchu at your own pace or return to the town where you can enjoy a relaxing evening or shop at the local market.
Option ($325): Hike a portion of the Inca Trail for a day and arrive at Machu Picchu through the Gate of the Sun. Tour of Machu Picchu would be the next day.

Day 6 – Machu Picchu / Cusco
Machu Picchu to Cusco Train
Free day to return to Machu Picchu and continue exploring the sanctuary or hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. You will return to Cusco by train later in the afternoon.

Day 7 – Cusco / Lake Titicaca
Cusco to Lake Titicaca Bus
Full day of travel from Cusco to Puno (12,421 ft.), which sits at the edge of Lake Titicaca. During the journey, you will stop in Pucara, Racchi, and Andahuylillas.
Upgrade ($290): Travel aboard the “Andean Explorer” train by Orient Express - a 5 stars train experience. Available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays all year plus Saturday between April and October.

Day 8 – Lake Titiaca
Lake Titicaca: Uros & Taquile Islands
Today you will tour Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest lake navigable by large vessels. First, you will visit the Uros Indians’ floating reed island, built on layers of totora reeds. The Uros still live as their ancestors did a thousand years ago. Next, you will continue towards Taquile Island. This remote island is a remarkable community where Quechua, the language of the Incas, is kept alive by the islanders. Make sure to browse the local handcrafted artwork, derived from techniques developed over centuries. Return to Puno in the late afternoon.

Day 9 – Lake Titicaca / Lima
Juliaca to Lima - Fly after 1pm
If time permits, we will stop at the Sullistani Tombs for a guided tour before arriving to the airport for your flight to Lima.

Train to or from Machu Picchu: May to December: trains between Cusco and Machu Picchu depart from Poroy station (about 20 minutes from downtown Cusco). Between January and April, trains depart from Pachar station, about 1.5 hours from Cusco. Transfers are included for both options and total travel time is about the same.
